Relax with friends whilst Sue, our floristry expert (love-tobegreen.co.uk), helps you to create a unique table decoration.  Afterwards, tuck into a delicious luncheon of sea bass in a fennel and vanilla sauce, crushed new potatoes, braised red cabbage and creamy celeriac followed by homemade chocolates. Our aim is to offer a selection of classes to suit various skill levels.We offer the classes to local florists, flower arrangers, those wishing

to gain an insight into a floral career or anyone with just a keen interest in flowers.

Whether you come along to one session or more,we are sure you will enjoy the informal, instructive and professional tuition. The session/s will help you to be more creative and explore different materials and products and improve your skills and knowledge.

Susan's style and experience are complemented by her excellent teaching methods and ability to communicate method and technique in a calm, patient and concise way.Most classes are small and friendly with lots of individual attention and suitable for a variety of skill sets.
Workshops and courses are constantly updated to reflect changing trends and techniques.

About your Tutor Susan

Having an earlier career in Ladies Fashion Design working for a number of renowned fashion companies in  London's West End,Susan relocated to Devon and returned to education to study another passion of hers,creativity with flowers.

After more years of studying this time in the floral industry,gaining Floristry & Teaching qualifications and after being more than 15 years in the 'flower world', Susan has the following to offer her Learners-

• Has more than 8 years of teaching Interior Floral Design/Floristry /Flower Arranging for Devon County Council-accredited and non-accredited courses.

• Has Designed  and held independent Floristry and Floral Art workshops in Torquay and Newton Abbot.

• Has been invited to participate as a Floral Art judge at local shows and events.

• Has been to participate as a Floral Art Demonstrator at numerous Flower Clubs and Horticulture Groups in Devon.

Wedding Package Session!  Designed and run by tutor Susan who has a vast amount of experience in this area.

Susan can introduce you to the magical world of bridal flowers giving you  professional advice via details of her own experience via discussions and by giving you and skilled guidance throughout your practical work.

Our Wedding Package Day is designed for those who may want to make flowers for their own wedding, someone creative who may want to apply their artistic skills to a friends or family members  wedding flowers  or for those who are interested in having a taster day with a view to working in this particular field of floral expertise. 

We at Love to be Green Florists have always had the 'green ethos' within us as we design and now we see a huge move with the florist industry strongly supporting British Grown flowers and foliage more and more in their floral provisions. 

With the 'green ethos' in mind, during the day, we will concentrate on the following-

Demonstrations and Step by Step instructions on how to create  2 different table decorations,

'Dutch Floral Design' Taster

 

MORNING SESSION-  10AM -12.30PM  

 

Woodland & Botanical Centrepiece

 

You will enjoy creating an arrangement of small textured flora upon a lovely piece of natural log. You will use textures which can be grasses, seed pods, berries and the detailed design will last much longer than larger fresh flowers. 

 During the lesson you will be introduced to deconstructing larger flowers for this design to incorporate more colour along with exploring small succulents and working with petite flora.

£30 PP Includes natural log piece, tube of Oasis glue AND all other materials.

Flower Crown  Party

Artificial Silk Flowers

Create your own beautiful flower crowns at this fun workshop. 

Dig through our assortment of high quality faux flowers, ribbons and trims to pick your favourite materials to make your personal flower crowns. We'll help you structure your crowns for shape, variety and a comfy fit!

Your experienced workshop Tutor will bring along everything you'll need to create your floral headwear, as well as examples and inspiration for your own designs. Your tutor will be on hand to guide everyone through the processes, illustrate the techniques and offer top tips too.

Wear your fabulous floral crowns for a night out, to a festival or even for the Bride and her Bridesmaids to wear on the wedding day. If you want to make your crowns to match a particular colour scheme or even season, then just let us know beforehand.

We will provide a wide range of materials in a huge assortment of colours with a coordinating haberdashery of trims. 

We can provide bold and colourful flowers for a festival inspired crown, or rich autumnal materials for a autumn crown, or even faux berries and festive foliage for a crisp winter crown.

Your experienced workshop Tutor will bring along everything you'll need to create your own beautiful 'oval' shaped Bouquet as well as demonstrate the construction method and show examples and inspiration for your own designs. We will be using Raw Natural and Organic material with a beautiful texture and soft movement through the design.

Lush in greenery and berries and fresh flowers.

Your tutor will be on hand to guide everyone through the processes, illustrate the techniques and offer top tips too.

Your bouquet will be perfect for a natural style Bridal Bouquet or it will make a stunning arrangement just placed in a vase at home.
